Meet the LED lightbulb that puts a new twist on the traditional Edison Teardrop shape. The Vintage LED’s ST64 is a classic long Teardrop (Pear) shape with the addition of a trilateral LED filament that makes it stand out. The filaments have been arranged to maximise reflection, by giving the illusion of the light bouncing off the inside of the lightbulb at obtuse angles.
Vintage LED filament bulbs are the warmest on the market (this one measures just 2200k on the colour temperature scale) achieving a very similar look to venerable and popular tungsten filament globes, just without the heroic power consumption and exorbitant cost.
Vintage LEDs operate at a really low temperature - making them a lot safer for those with children, and also for professional lightbulb jugglers. The old incandescent bulbs operated at temperatures up to 2800C, which is about as hot as a red dwarf star. The outstanding ST64 will hardly go over 30C, which is barely a warm bath.
